About Us

Bots on Wheels (BOW) Community Robotics Team 4290 is a community high school robotics team founded in 2012.  The team originally operated out of Phillip O Berry High School in Charlotte, NC.  In 2015, the team separated from Phillip O Berry and became a community robotics team.  In 2017, the team applied for and received its nonprofit status.

We are one of the four founding members of the Queen City Robotics Alliance (QCRA), along with YETI, T-Rex, and Royal Robotics. We share a large building and education space with YETI and have always had a goal to encourage team cooperation and gracious professionalism in all we do.

We teach students valuable life lessons and technical skills through hands-on learning, mentorship, teamwork, and outreach. It is our objective to get more people interested in FIRST and engage our students in impacting our community.
